Last week I was invited by a friend to attend ESPN Radio 1000’s Lunch with a Legend show at Morton’s Steakhouse in Chicago. Every month the Waddle & Silvy show invite a sports legend for an interview. This month’s legend was Denis Savard, a Blackhawk’s player, coach, and now ambassador, Savard has spent many years with the Blackhawks organization. Not only was it a once in a lifetime experience to meet Denis but I was also able to ask him a question live on the air. I think I may have stumped him a bit with the question, “What’s your favorite Blackhawk tradition?” After beating around the bush for a few seconds my question sparked a 10 minute conversation about the National Anthem and the traditions surrounding the fans and players. Later that night I was spotted on ABC7’s news broadcast about the show.
