With the 2008-09 Chicago Blackhawks season coming to an end last night I must say that I am thrilled to be a Blackhawks fan. Not only did the Blackhawks exceed my expectations, they managed to bring hockey back to Chicago. Before this playoff run the Blackhawks were just another thing that took place at the United Center on the Bulls off days but for the first time since I can remember the Blackhawks were the talk of the town.
Everyone on the team made this season exciting. From Byfuglien’s tough guy attitude to Khabibulin and Huet’s breath taking saves you could not ask for much more… until next year. After an outstanding postseason run we now have just under 140 days till the first game of the 2009-2010 Blackhawks season.
For all the mac users out there, I have created a dashboard widget to keep you updated on how long we have till the next outstanding Blackhawks season. Just click here to download the widget.

Last night around 11:30PM I grabbed my camera and started snapping some photos. After just a few minutes of taking photos I went to sleep. This morning I woke up and uploaded these to CNN.com iReport. Just 10 minutes later I received a call from CNN asking if they could use my photos on CNN.com and CNN TV. Here is the CNN iReport: http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-55983
