I’ve made my decision… Sit tight.

As an Amazon Kindle owner I know that there is no way that Amazon will allow the Barnes and Noble nook to take over the eBook market. The few advantages the nook has over the kindle are really just WiFi and lending of eBooks. Other than that there is not much the nook has going for it. The color touch screen is sure to deplete battery life and strain your eyes when reading, it is thicker and heavier, and the nook lacks a web browser.

I have only been a Kindle owner for two months and I am not about to run and buy a nook just because of the fancy LCD display. Until B&N allows developers to access the powerful android operating system the device is built on there is not much of an advantage to having a nook.

I have many friends and relatives that own massive Kindle eBook libraries. I can only hope that Amazon will step up to the plate and grant owners the ability to lend eBooks.

A lot can happen before November 30th but for now, I’m sticking to my Kindle.
