Sponsored Links in the iPhone’s Maps App

I came across something that I had never noticed before today. When doing a search for “Nordstrom Rack” in Chicago rather than finding the closest Nordstrom Rack a different non-pin icon appeared pointing out Nordstrom Michigan Ave as a sponsored link. While I am one of the most understanding that advertising drives the online world, I am upset to see these results take over the iPhone Maps app. The last thing I want to see is the addition of advertisements in a product that I purchased without ads.
What are your thoughts? Should Google be able to see ad revenue from the iPhone’s included, undeleteable apps?

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to listen to nearly any radio station in the world:

Today I applied for the Apple iPhone SDK for Individuals. One problem. I have NO IDEA how to code cocoa or cocoa touch. I plan to study as hard as possible to learn the language needed to create the iPhone / iPod touch app before the release date in ‘Late June’.Here is where you come in… Submit your ideas (via comment) for my first iPhone App before 4/1. A panel of judges will choose the best idea and I will do everything in my power to have an App on the AppStore by day one.The winner’s name will be added to the credits of the app for everyone with in iPhone or iPod touch to see.Lets hear your thoughts. Thanks, Matt [update: I am still awaiting approval from Apple to be accepted as an iPhone developer. Please continue to submit your ideas. Thanks.]
